Ahahaha how have I never heard this song before? Good old Upper Clapton was the first London neighbourhood I called home when I moved to the Big Smoke over a year ago. We soon found out why it was called Murder Mile when someone got shot down our road a few days after we moved in. The homicide count steadily rose, although I felt pretty safe seeing as the only gang I was associated with was the Bloodhound Gang, having listening to The Bad Touch about 3 times in my life.
I recently departed the area for one with more organic vegetable shops and mysterious baklava shops (is that REALLY all you sell?!) but it's still got that simmering undercurrent of menace that those with little money for rent must get used to.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.(Lies.)
P.S. Shout out to Professor Green's dentist...

BE MY VALENTINE
Valentine Fillol Cordier (hello) first caught my beady little eye in Nylon mag a few years back, when I ripped the page out and stuck it on my wall. It's still there incidentally, in my room at my parents' house.
I'm still not entirely sure what she does, but I saw her (and barely recognised her) in Grazia the other day, sporting a new shorter 'do and a blunt fringe. Alls I know is she used to date Jamie from The Kills and she's a model of sorts. So I guess she's a full-time 'It Girl'. And as with most 'It Girls', she exudes an air of coolness (but that might come from the fact that she's French and rarely smiles). But whatevs, she takes a good picture. And I like her name.

SINCE IT'S CHRISTMAS/LET'S BE GLAD/EVEN IF YOUR LIFE'S BEEN BAD
Stockings for rabbits (not the nylon kind you perve), chilly churches, mulled wine, films films films, nut roast, so much cheese, sleeping in a warm (single) bed, a stocking seemingly sponsored by Clarins and ACTUAL REAL-LIFE SNOW! I bladdy love Christmas!
Now someone please stop me from eating. I. Just. Can't. Stop.

BRINGING FOXY BACK
This Christmas Eve I am mostly happy to have finished work at lunchtime, excited for watching Narnia at 5pm and lusting after this fox pendant from Clara Francis.
Fox necklace, £90
Guess it's time to put the kettle on, grab one of my Ma's mince pies and head outside to see if my rabbits fancy dressing up like THIS:
No chance. Happy Christmas!

ROBIN US BLIND
That's a lie, any excuse for a pun-tastic title. This little fella wouldn't steal anything from anyone, look at his face! He's the latest addition (thanks to my lovely housemate Jimmy!) to my bedside table which is slowly being transformed into a woodland scene. Plants to be added in the New Year. A mini conifer would be ideal...
Meet the second newest member of the clan - the white hedgehog. Paperchase's finest (I lie, he's pretty badly made; his ears are peeling), he's pretty shy but likes to peer into the distance and offer me helpful hints about what clothes to wear. He's so quiet though, I never hear him.
Last but not least in the new member crew is this super chic and not at all tacky glittery pink fawn. Paperchase done good. (As always. And their tissue paper is much cheaper than WHSmith. Jus' sayin'.)
I love woodland creatures. Sigh.

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO SAY?
Oh God, I forgot how much I loved this song. Makes me sad and wistful for er...nothing much really. It's a sit on the floor with a cup of milky tea and stare into the distance kind of song.
Lovely, lovely, lovely.
Lovely, lovely, lovely.

JUERGEN-ER LOVE THIS
So, I'm a little late on this one, but moving house and lack of internet really stops a lazy blogger from blogging.
Excuses out the way, look at THIS! One of my favourite photographers, a Mr Juergen Teller photographed little known model Kate Moss for the December issue of Self Service magazine. Look at these pictures! Love, love, love. People are blah-ing about the 'raw, untouched' Kate, but I just like the photos - they could be of Kate or Cher Lloyd and they'd still be be-a-u-tiful. Okay, maybe not Cher 'swagger' Lloyd, but you get what I mean.
See the rest here.
